Photonics opens the door to many exiting new application fields. To applications to their maximum capacity, photonic and electronic chips need to be hybridly designed and integrated. In this session, the heterogeneous design and the challenges that come with going beyond “just” a chip are discussed, and a focus on using photonics to improve your health will be elaborated on.
