On 1 September, Japanese tech firm Dai Nippon Printing (DNP) opened its first overseas R&D hub on High Tech Campus Eindhoven.
In a new partnership with TNO at Holst Centre and the Photonics Integration Technology Centre (PITC), DNP is diving into ultra-fast data processing with lower energy use. By combining DNP’s microfabrication and coating expertise with TNO’s applied research and PITC’s integration know-how, we’re looking at a serious innovation engine for sustainable economic growth, pushing the boundaries of Co-Packaged Optics for faster, greener semiconductor applications.
This move highlights the strength of the Dutch integrated photonics ecosystem and reinforces the Netherlands as a global innovation hotspot. Special thanks to BOM, NFIA and PhotonDelta for their support in making this happen.
