— Dutch National Technology Strategy
Contributing to 6 of 10 key technologies
Holst Centre directly contributes to advancements in 6 of the 10 key technologies in the Dutch National Technology Strategy (NTS). From integrated photonics to artificial intelligence, and from semiconductor technologies to energy materials, we are developing tomorrow’s game-changing innovations in our labs today. Perhaps most importantly, our collaborations and innovation ecosystems secure key control points in the industries that will drive these technologies and benefit from them. Our successful spin-offs and joint innovation agreements create entirely new industries that will shape the future of technology across the globe.
— EU Chips Act
Bolstering Europe's semiconductor ecosystem
Bolstering Europe’s semiconductor ecosystem, technological sovereignty and supply chain resilience begins with chip development and packaging in a variety of applications. Both imec and TNO apply their decades of experience in innovation to not only contribute to the ambitions of the EU Chips Act, but also to ensure Dutch organisations play a key role in them. For more than 20 years, Holst Centre has been a leader in chip research and technology, one of the key objectives of the EU Chips Act. We share our expertise to boost innovation in chip design and manufacturing, increase production, and secure local and robust supply chains.
