  • TNO at Holst Centre welcomes R&D team Dai Nippon Printing

On 1 September, Japanese tech firm Dai Nippon Printing (DNP) opened its first overseas R&D hub on High Tech Campus Eindhoven.

In a new partnership with TNO at Holst Centre and the Photonics Integration Technology Centre (PITC), DNP is diving into ultra‑fast data processing with lower energy use. By combining DNP’s microfabrication and coating expertise with TNO’s applied research and PITC’s integration know‑how, we’re looking at a serious innovation engine for sustainable economic growth, pushing the boundaries of Co‑Packaged Optics for faster, greener semiconductor applications.

This move highlights the strength of the Dutch integrated photonics ecosystem and reinforces the Netherlands as a global innovation hotspot. Special thanks to BOM, NFIA and PhotonDelta for their support in making this happen.
